Hey everyone, I wasn't planning on writing a review today, but I just found this song. It tugged at my emotions, so I thought it deserved a review! The song is You Broke Me Too by Yellowcard ft Avril Lavigne! A Canadian pop punk icon. Now I don't normally listen to Yellowcard, but I heard this song and was immediately punched in the heart. So let's get into it. 

Starting with the intro, we have a slow paced melody. It's not a very long intro, but it's still really easy listening. Which is a good fit for a break up song. The first verse: "Middle of the night and I'm running back what you said, you're not even here but you still won't let me rest. I'm just so tired, all these years lost in love. Lost in love. And I'm hanging on to every word, when you're gone. Follow where you lead me but you just lead me on." Been there. The pre-chorus: "Say that you want me, I know you don't, no you don't. Cause you don't know." No comment here. The chorus: "What I've been through, led me to you. You found me, I was broken. You let a little bit of hope in. But you, you broke me too." This hurt not gonna lie, this was the part that touched me. That's all I have to say about this part. The second verse: "This is all my own fault, let you get in my head. Get the best of my heart, then you leave me for dead. Tell me you love me, I know you won't, no you won't." I did let someone get too close to my heart, and now I feel exactly how they express their feelings. The chorus repeats again, there isn't really a bridge. There is an outro of a phrase being repeated, with some background vocals. Speaking of which the singer of Yellowcard and Avril's voice blend so well together, it's amazing. This is such a beautifully broken song, you can feel every once of pain in the words. The lyric video is actually pretty visually stunning, in my opinion. I like the use of broken heart imagery.
