Welcome back to the blog, today I have a band that I never heard of. But I found the other day, they are from the UK and they're called WSTR, I don't know what that stands for. That's how it shows up on the bio on youtube music. They are a pop punk band, which you know I live for pop punk. I freaking love this genre, like I can't even tell you how much. So let's get into it. Starting with the intro, it has this really great hook. With just the light strumming of an electric guitar. Coming in hot with the drums. Put the two together, and it's amazing! First verse: "Is it these four walls that, are bringing you down? Or the fact that I'm gone, hardly ever around? You think I'm off to the ball, that's not the case at all hard floor. Back sore split feelings, have we lost all meaning?" No comment on this section, other than the fact that I love the set up. We move on to the chorus: "Are we stupid, or just incompetent? Cause the truth is I'm tired of doing this, God ***** I am just a human. I seldom see the sun, hate almost everyone." The chorus of this is so catchy, honestly pop punk is like the perfect genre for summer. And that part about the sun, I find very relatable because I am very pale, and when I do go outside I'm not usually out for very long. Because I will literally burn so fast, I do love going out when it's warm though. But yeah, I just find that funny. Second verse: "If you love ADHD, I'll be your cassanova. You'll deal with the repercussions, some of the facts that I can't get over. Hide everything sharp, leave me in the dark. With my complicated persona, if feelings get hurt, for better for worse. I'll bury my head in this closure ooh, yeah. I'll bury my head in this closure. But it'd be nice to know that know that, as the future takes shape. The scars will fade, if the history don't soil your name." A bit of a long second verse, but still really good. The bridge on this track, is just the chorus again. Only there's some background vocals as well. So you know what? I'm just gonna add that part in. "Are we stupid? (God**** I am just a human) Is it pointless? (I seldom see the sun, hate almost everyone)" there we go. On the outro, there's this part "Is it pointless? Yeah I mean everyone. Some of the facts that I can't get over." Then it ends with. "Hate almost everyone, yeah I mean everyone." Lol, that is not me. But some people probably feel that way, and that's ok. As long as you're not hurting anyone, you do you. :)
