Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! Today I have a song by a newer band, called Dark Divine. I think I reviewed a song theirs before, anyway they are really good. They kind of remind me of motionless in white, I think the metalcore genre is in good hands nowadays. But back to the song, the title is called Terrifier! Which is also a movie I believe, I haven't seen it though. Anyway we start off the song with a little intro with some lyrics. "(Terrified, terrified) (Till death do we be terrified) (Terrified, terrified) (Till death do we be terrified)" Giving us an amazing break down, which takes us into the first verse: "Terrified, terrified. Till death do we be terrified. Terrified, terrified. Till death do we be terrified. I'm so tired of wasting your time, and feeling like I'm not in the right state of mind. And everybody says I'm gonna be fine, but words mean nothing to the deaf and the blind. And I'm scared of what you'll think of me, if you see my insecurities. A victim of my own mentality. I don't want you to see this side of me." Very typical, about hiding your feelings, and the parts of ourselves we might not like. The pre-chorus: "I'm terrified from what I try to hide inside of me, my lies can't save me anymore. It's paralyzing to know where your demon's hiding. I don't even wanna try." No comment here. moving on to the chorus, which is also from the intro. "Till death do we be terrified. Terrified, terrified. Till death do we be terrified. Terrified, terrified. Till death do we be terrified." That makes sense, in a way. a lot of things in life are scarey. Second verse: "Here we go again, another day gone. Another pain from all of my mistakes, I'll never be free. From what I don't want you to see, a glass half full is still a heart half empty. My dead unwanted spirit loves to wander aimlessly, and the demons that I sought to destroy. Are starting to look just like me." Okay, now this part is talking about are inner voice, and inner thoughts. And maybe sometimes we don't always realize when, maybe we're the monsters. Next is the bridge: "I can't stand the sadness in your eyes, when you look at me the way I feel inside. I don't wanna leave myself behind, but I know that if I don't, I won't be able to survive! We're all just terrified!" Wow this part is really deep. I love it! The vocals on this track, are also really great. The screams are also perfectly placed. The bridge is slowed down a bit, it's really beautiful. Their lead singer Anthony is really talented. On the outro, we have some lyrics from one of the verses. and there's no instrumentals at the end, so the song just ends. This is a really good track, and you should listen to it.
