Welcome back to the blog everyone! I have a really great love song today, I'm a sucker for love songs. They make me think of my person :) This love song is called I'm Yours by Villain Of The Story. A really good band, that I think needs more recognition. It has a really nice romantic tone to it, there isn't an intro, but sometimes it doesn't need one. The first verse: "I was lost in a storm, too blind to find my way out of the dark. Searching for something more, for a brand new start. I've been slipping away, so far from happiness. And I felt like I was too far gone, that night I saw you standing there across the room. And I couldn't breathe, everything is changing. Are you the one who's meant to save me?" Already a really great start, and very romantic. My person brought me out of a rough patch, so I can relate to this. Then we have the chorus: "Could this be the start of something new, can you carry the weight of this fragile heart? Maybe it's too good to be true, just promise me that we'll never fall apart. And I'm yours. I'm yours." The first half of the song is done on piano, but other instruments are in play further into it. I really love that chorus, it's so sweet! Second verse: "These last few weeks we've spent together, have seemed like a dream. I've never been so sure of anything, I'm letting go of the pain and the fear now. Things have never been so clear, when life leaves me broken and I search for, a reason to go on. I know that you are the answer beneath it all, with you I'd never fall." *sigh* For real though, I love it when songs exactly express how I'm feeling. The bridge: "And baby don't you see, you make me feel so free. Just think of all that we can be, I want to give you the world, because you mean the world to me, I'm yours." No comment, I think I've said it all. That last part the "I'm yours" part, repeats a few times. Then ends with a guitar strum. The vocals are also really good too. I'm so happy I found another love song, it feels good listening to love songs again :)
