Song 232

 Song 232

Hello my fellow music lovers! Welcome back to the blog! :) I have another review for you today! The song I have chosen is Reprobate Romance by Blacklisted Me! Now I don't know a lot about this band, but this song was released in 2013 so a throwback for sure. I tried listening to this song before, but never really gave it a chance, today I listened to it all the way through, multiple times. And I have to say it's pretty good! So let's get into it!

The intro has an interesting sound. We have this kind of sardonic soundwave, mixed with an electric affect. This brings us into the first verse: "You show me hell in the most beautiful light, your lies disguised as alibis. You know you're hell behind your beautiful eyes, a feeling I can't fight. (oh)" Interesting choice of words here, but I think they mean how someone can look put together on the outside, but inside fighting their battles. This is something they find intriguing about this person, they're singing about. The chorus: "We're just a falling star, we're just a broken seed. And when an ocean parts, will you wanna sink our dreams? I don't know what we are or what we'll ever be. So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat, (so listen when you feel your heart skip a beat)" The chorus on this is really catchy, and fun. I love the blend of voices, because I hear two different voices. But they sound really great together. I also think they're talking about listening to your heart, to try to figure what it's trying to tell you. Because one of them, doesn't know what exactly they are. The second verse: "You left me here without a breath or goodbye, you never even tried. (oh, oh, oh-oh) you saw me then I was so perfectly blind, a love I'll never find. (oh)" I know what they're saying here, it seems like they have been taken advantage of. I have definitly felt like this before. The chorus repeats, with a second part added on. "You're just like drawing scars and leaving hope to bleed, so if we fall apart, will I ever haunt your dreams? I don't know who we are, or what this means. So listen when you feel your heart skip a beat." I like this part, it sounds like they're saying. Will you ever care when I'm gone type of thing. The bridge: "Yeah, you said you felt the same. But now who's to blame? (You threw it all away) Yeah, you said you felt the same, but then something changed. (You threw it all away) Yeah you said you felt the same, but now who's to blame? (You threw it all away) Yeah, you said you felt the same. But then something changed (you threw it all away)" Again something I am all to familiar with. It's amazing how, things can change so quickly. Someone who used to mean so much, is now just a painful memory. The chorus then repeats a final time, with screaming near the end! That was a surprising twist, I loved that! The outro is kind of a fade out, which makes sense in a way. Considering the subject matter of the song. This track kind of reminds me of Sleeping With Sirens. It has that vibe.

That's it for this review, I hope you consider checking it out, and I will see you in the next one! Happy listening! RAWR XD :) <3
