song 197

 Song 197

Hey everyone! So I need to get this out, because I can't keep it to myself anymore! I have a crush! :) He's an American boy, his name is Christian. But his stage name is Fatehartt, I have reviewed two of his songs already, and this will make number three. (I swear I don't have a problem) He's so pretty, and adorable, he's an alt guy, he makes music, he has gorgeous eyes! A good set of eyes is very important to me, plus he's really nice. I'm scared to tell him I like like him, I did get the courage to tell him he's cute the other day. And I got hearts! Ahhhhhh! He has such a cute smile, and I love his voice. He also looks like he gives really good hugs, he's just *sigh* hehe :) It feels good to have this feeling again. Okay, now on with the review.

The song I have chosen is World of the Madmen! And on this single cover is a freaking awesome picture of his gorgeous self! *sigh* Starting with the intro, we have this almost music box sound. Like a ballet vibe. This enchanting intro leads us into the first verse: "I don't wanna go outside today, I wanna lay in my bed. With a head full of lead, the children of the damned. You better take your pills, so the madmen can pretend. Their thrones aren't built on crimson hills." I almost feel like this is about the state of world, because it has that theme. The pre-chorus: "All the children screaming, all the madmen use them. All the children lose their minds, all the children lose it." Very nice, very nice. The chorus: "In a world, in a world of the madmen. So lost, so lost. In a world of the madmen." This pretty much sums up the state of world we're living in. You captured it so perfectly Fatehartt. The second verse: "I don't wanna see the sun today, but they broke all my locks. Now they're dragging me away. The children of the damned, they're gonna line you up. Against the wall, against your will. They'll kick you and they'll beat you. And they'll tell you it's fair." I feel like here, he's saying to not let people tear you down. Follow your dreams, because they know the way. That kind of thing. The chorus repeats again, with the outro. And there's words in the outro. "So lost, so lost. In a world of the madmen, we're all just their lambs. In a world of the madmen, well I can't be who they want me to be." Exactly, we can only be ourselves. I've learned not to change myself for other people, because it was just hurting me. Love the message here. And of course his voice is once again majestic, and dreamy. *sigh*

Well that wraps up this review, see you all next time! Oh and a Happy Thanksgiving to my American family, and of course my crush Fatehartt (AKA Christian <3)

song 196

 Song 196

Hello everyone welcome back to the blog! Today I have another song by Fatehartt, which I had previously did a song review for. This song is called Toxic, and it's quite catchy and deep. Which checks two of my boxes already. ( I have a bit of a confession, I have a crush on this guy) Okay, on with the review!

Starting with the intro, it's an homage to MCR's I'm Not Okay. Which I think is really nice, I love that. (If you don't know that song, then you probably won't understand but that's okay) The intro leads us into the first verse: "You die inside every time I walk away, you had to call an ambulance to make me stay. We both went down, from the poison on your. Lips so they can drag me to a gurney. That'll lay next to yours, you can never let me go!" Love the lyrics, lyrics have always been important to me. I love really good song writing, and he is a really good song writer. This song is about a toxic relationship, something I can relate to on a personal level. This next part is speaking, but the words are powerful. "Oh my God! The ambulance is coming to take your body away, mother f******** (Sorry I'm bleeping the swears Fatehartt) stay away!" This part gets screamy, which I love. Because I'm a metalcore fan. Then we have the chorus: "The pain, the lies. The thorns in my side, you feed me pills. To make me ill. The pain, the lies. The thorns in my crown. You feed me pills, to make me ill." For me, I feel like this could be an allegory for emotional pain. Only because I have emotional trauma, so maybe I'm just projecting. Or it could mean, that the situation was so bad he felt pills were the answer to numb the pain. But it's whatever way you want to interpret it, because this is just my opinion. The second verse: "Don't calm me down, cause I am gonna break. I'm breaking out, from this gurney, cause. I have been sedated, way too long I need to find my blood. From the altar that we spilled, on foundations of ash." This part I feel like he's talking about getting out of the situation, and feeling that freedom. I get that, I made some changes that have helped me. I like the line "I've been sedated way too long" I relate to this, because I was numb to how I was feeling. I knew it wasn't good for me, and there were moments when I thought my emotions didn't matter. I was too blind to see the situation for what it was, until I got out. But I'm doing better now. The chorus repeats again, and that brings us into the bridge: "So give me all you've got, from your withered heart. You speak too much, but say nothing at all. Give me all your pills. That's what you want, to make me stay. Oh you make me ill, is that all you've got. In your hopeless heart, you try so hard. I ain't ever going back. You want this forever, you want this forever, you want this forever, you want me. To stay! (You make me) Stay! (You make me) Stay! ( You make me ) ill!" I'm never going back either, only forward. I really like how this is arranged, the vocals and the instruments blend really well together. His voice is really cool, would love to hear some isolated vocals from The chorus repeats again, with this awesome guitar solo as the outro. Like yes! Play that thing! The guitar is my favourite instrument, and it's also my last name. Anyway, really cool song, I love it. And I think you might too, if you just give it a listen!

Well that's it for this review! Until next time happy listening! :) RAWR <3

song 195

 Song 195

Hey everybody, welcome back to the blog! Today I have a song by an upcoming artist. His name is Fatehartt, and this is one of his songs, which is called Light In The Dark. He started out in 2020, and have been trying to put his work out there. I believe he can go far in the scene, because he has very good writing skills, and production skills as well. It's a shame that he can't make music videos for his songs, because I feel like he could do amazing work with the lyrics of his songs. Now it's time for the review!

So what I would call the intro, is a little drum introduction. But it quickly goes into the first verse. Here are the lyrics "I roll out of bed, woke up in a frenzy. I watched the light leave her eyes. The other night, the panic begins to set. And the dread begins to fade." I really like the lyrics, and musically it's really cool. It reminds me of MCR, and another band that I can't quite put my finger on. The pre-chorus: "If I fall into this whiskey well, can I break this never ending spell." This part here, has me thinking that he tried to solve his problems with drinking. Of course this is just my interpretation. The chorus:  "I hold in my hand, a light in the dark. Sealed with a kiss, it burns so bright. There is a light in the dark. An inverse shadow, I'll mourn in regret." I like the message here, because there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Eventually the sun comes back out, and you can breathe again. I know I have had my share of dark moments, but I always remember the light does come back. There's a little instrumental part after this section. I really like the use of drums and guitar here, it sounds really cool. It also has that 2000s feel almost, which I really love. The second verse: "I feel like a ghost, I've lost all my senses. I watched all my friends die. The other night, the panic begins again. Now I'll mourn in regret, all around me are familiar faces. Oh, what I would give. To trade places." I know first hand what it's like to lose friends. None of them died, but I have lost friends for one reason or another. And sometimes it was no reason at all. So I find that part relatable. Then the chorus repeats a couple more times, before ending with an outro. I like that there's lyrics at the end. "So as you shut their eyes, we defy the pain. In our hearts contain. A light in the dark." *sigh* so deep, and meaningful. I love it! Also his vocals are really interesting, he sounds like a mix of different singers. Really pretty voice actually. Would love to hear acoustic versions of his songs one day, I think he would pull them off really well.

So if you wanna help support a small artist, please go check out Fatehartt’s music. I know he would appreciate it. Until next time, happy listening! RAWR <3

song 194

 Song 194

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! This is kind of a special one, I missed the actual date of my blog's anniversary. So I'm making it up by doing this one! I started this blog three years ago this month! I have gone through a lot having this blog, heartbreak, loss, being down on myself about my writing. But I've learned to love my writing, and enjoy writing about music, and sharing it with people. Because that's all that matters, for all the times I wanted to quit, I'm glad I didn't. I'm happy I'm still here, to do this for all of you! Now on with the song! The song I've chosen is Send The Pain Below by Chevelle! A band that I have never heard of before, but they are pretty cool. And they have been around for a while. So if you've heard of them, and love them, and listened to them back when they were starting out, this might be nostalgic for you. And if you are new to them, like me I hope you consider checking them out.

Starting off with the intro, we have this heavy melody and beat. With that awesome raw early 2000s sound that I love. Bringing us to the first verse: "I liked having hurt. So send the pain below, where I need it. You used to beg me to take care of things. And smile at the thought of me failing, but long before having hurt. I'd send the pain below, I'd send the pain below." I think he's talking about sending the pain into the depths of oneself. But that's not really healthy, you should let your emotions out. If you can't do it in front of people, then at least do it when you're alone. Trust me it feels good to let it all out. The chorus: "Much like suffocating, much like suffocating. Much like suffocating. (I'd send the pain below) Much like suffocating (I'd send the pain below)" That is what it can feel like, but when you do have your emotional release it's very freeing, and like a weight has been lifted. The second verse: "You used to run me away, all while laughing. Then cry about the fact till I returned, but long before having hurt. I'd send the pain below, I'd send the pain below." So this part I'm not sure about, but I do love the vocals and the melody, it's all very emo and raw. I love that stuff. The chorus repeats again, then we have the bridge: "I can't feel my chest, need more, drop down. Closing in. I can't feel my chest, drop down. I liked having hurt. So send the pain below, so send the pain below." Sometimes you need to let yourself hurt, because then you learn and grow from it. That opens you up to moving on, healing is a lengthy process. I'm still healing, and yeah there are some days where you feel like you won't get better. But on the good days, the bad days seem worth it. Allow yourself to feel, that's what I'm trying to do. When I felt like my emotions weren't important, I now allow myself to feel however I want! I know it may seem like you have to be the strong one, but I promise you don't have to be strong all the time. The chorus repeats two more times, there's a little outro then the song comes to a close. The outro has the fading fuzziness of the guitar, which is always cool. Very awesome instrumentals, and vocals on this track. This song came out in 2002!

That is it, for this review! Happy 3 years to the blog! And until next time happy listening! RAWR XD <3

song 193

 Song 193

Hello everyone, welcome to the blog! Today's song is off of Set It Off's new album! It's called What's In It For Me? I feel like they've gone back to their roots with this album, including this song. It sounds like their old stuff. So let's get into it!

The intro starts off as a nice acoustic session, leading into the heavier stuff. The intro also has lyrics, but it's kind of a spoiler for the chorus. So I won't put that in there. There's an instrumental part after the intro, which is your guitar and drum combo. Bringing us into the first verse: "Bleed me dry until your lips are tired, and let's save all the small talk. I know there's something you want, it's my demise. My pain is how you thrive, you're desperate for attention. But I don't read my mentions." Very interesting lines here, I'm not sure how to decipher them. So I'll leave that up to you. The pre-chorus: "So, run, run your mouth all you want. Too bad the beat goes on and on, and I can't be stopped, it must sting. To have no effect on me. Cause all your misguided rage just, paves my way to greatness." I like this section. The chorus: "You take it all, leave nothing on the bone. Can't make it on your own, don't latch on to me. Your colors show in shades while at your lowest, begging me for more, you're down on your knees. But what's in it for me?" I think I get it now, he gives and gives, but all the other person does is take from him. I can relate to this. One thing about Set It Off they usually have very relatable songs. There's an instrumental part after the chorus, then we move on to the second verse: "How dare I try to put up half a fight? You're terrified of friction, against your lethal fiction. Is obsession the trend? You're at it again, when you tell all your friends how evil I am. Armed with scarlet letters, thought that you'd know better." Very good song writing, and the melody on this song is very catchy and hooks you in. Then the pre-chorus repeats with an added line "Cause all your misguided rage can't f*** me up." That's a very healthy way of moving on, by not letting it bother you anymore. Then the chorus repeats, bringing us into the bridge: "(You take and take and take) (You take and take and take) (You take and take and take) You take and take until I've got nothing left. Yeah." That sounds about right, I honestly think I would have given more if things haven't ended between my ex and I. I am very thankful to be out of that. Then the chorus repeats for a final time. With an outro of "What's in it for me?" repeating three times. It's actually a really nice outro. and Cody's voice is amazing! Very well done Set It Off, the album has some bangers on it for sure! Although I don't like every song, but that's just my opinion. I do however love this song, and I hope you check it out!

Until next time, happy listening! :) RAWR <3

song 192

 Song 192

Hello everyone welcome back to the blog! Today's song is I Don't Care by Apocalyptica ft. Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace! This band is cool, they are a Finish band. And in this song they use cellos! Cellos in a rock song is amazing! I love when instruments are used for other genres then what they originated. Let's get into it.

So right off the bat with the cello work, we have this very nice soft melody. Very melodic, and almost spooky sounding as well. This will bring us into the first verse: "I try to make it through my life, in my way, there's you. I try to make it through these lies, that's all I do. Just don't deny it, just don't deny it. And deal with it, yeah deal with it. You tried to break me, you wanna break me. Bit by bit, that's just part of it." This song is very helpful for people going through trauma, or have experienced trauma. That's probably why I relate to this song in that context. The vocals on this are amazing! And the cover art on this single is so visually stunning, it's this dark grey cello with a skull, some flowers and wings coming out of it. Beauty within the darkness. The chorus: "If you were dead or still alive, I don't care, I don't care. And all the things you left behind. I don't care, I don't care." Now this part is a little extreme, but I can understand the wanting. Because people have gone through major things that have been very traumatic, and they just want the person that hurt them to disappear. But it is a little dark in some circumstances. I was always told never to wish death on anyone, but that could be different for other people. There's an instrumental part in between here. It's a mix of cello and drums. The second verse: "I try to make you see my side, always try to stay in line. But your eyes see right through, that's all they do. I'm getting tired of this shit. I've got no room when it's like this, what you want of me, just deal with it." I wasn't my best self when I was in the situation I was in, and I was very much a people pleaser. But that just ended up hurting me more, so I get this section. The chorus then repeats, with another instrumental part. Which brings us to the bridge: "Nothing can care about, I'm taking care of it. You won't be there for me, you won't be there for me." This part here, I can relate to. Because my ex, wasn't emotionally available, and as a very emotional person, it hurt me. I also felt like my emotions didn't matter at times. It was very hurtful, and now that I'm finally out of there. I know that my feelings do matter, and having them makes us human. There's another instrumental part, before the chorus repeats again. There is a little bit of an outro, with some background vocals mixed in there. I love that. Then at the end of the song we have this line "I don't care at all." I'll let you guys decide what that means for you. A really cool song, and very deep as well.

Okay, that's it for this review! I also plan on doing some Christmas songs in the coming weeks, because some bands I like have done Christmas songs. And they are awesome! Until next time, happy listening! RAWR XD <3

song 191

 Song 191

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Happy November, I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I had a pretty good one, I was an emo zombie! And I got myself some chocolate, so it wasn't a total waste lol. Also one of my favourite bands (Creeper) released their new album yesterday, and it's awesome! But I'm not doing one of their songs today, the song I picked for today is actually Kim Dracula's new song, that was also released yesterday! I had to review this one, because you can really hear them sing. You can actually hear the tone of their voice in this one, which I love! So let's get into it!

We start with the intro, which comes on strong with this heavy guitar and bass combo. Also with the drums. Bringing us into the first verse: "Look at the world, and all of the people in it.  Give us a twirl, I'll show you my animal instinct. A ritual invitation, you cannot fabricate it. Do you see what I see? Just take a peak!" I like this part because you can really get the full range of Kim's vocals. Like this person can sing! Next is the chorus: "I'm taking over, as your memory sinks into the earth. I hate the sound of, bad things come in threes. Stones of the ancients corroding the newborn flesh. Let's give the people what they want." So I'm not sure on the context of this song, but I think it sounds good, and the way it's arranged is pretty neat too. And now for a random verse lol "Bum bum ba dum bum, bababababa, Dum bum ba dum bum. Exhume the corpses that forsook the son, leaving their souls to rot then turn to dust. Yeah." One thing about this person, is they tend to have random verses in their songs. But I think that makes it more fun, and interesting. I wonder what the producing process is like for them? The second verse: "Meat in the brain, but it's better than employment, beaten and taped. They'll break all of your limbs for enjoyment, it was a simple congregation. Never too elated, can you see what I see?" This might have something to do with the state of the world, in which case bravo! Then the chorus repeats, and there really isn't a bridge. Or a full outro. Just a lady saying some words. Which I will add now. "Come on, Kim. You can do better than this, push yourself harder. That's it? That's not enough. Heavier. Great job!" In between these little sentences Kim's voice gets lower and lower, which is crazy. I didn't know their voice could go that low, it was surprising in a good way.

Overall I like this song, and I hope you will too! Kim is a fabulous artist. And you should check out their songs! My goal is to reach 200 reviews before the end of the year, and I think I can do it! See you next time! :)
