song 192

 Song 192

Hello everyone welcome back to the blog! Today's song is I Don't Care by Apocalyptica ft. Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace! This band is cool, they are a Finish band. And in this song they use cellos! Cellos in a rock song is amazing! I love when instruments are used for other genres then what they originated. Let's get into it.

So right off the bat with the cello work, we have this very nice soft melody. Very melodic, and almost spooky sounding as well. This will bring us into the first verse: "I try to make it through my life, in my way, there's you. I try to make it through these lies, that's all I do. Just don't deny it, just don't deny it. And deal with it, yeah deal with it. You tried to break me, you wanna break me. Bit by bit, that's just part of it." This song is very helpful for people going through trauma, or have experienced trauma. That's probably why I relate to this song in that context. The vocals on this are amazing! And the cover art on this single is so visually stunning, it's this dark grey cello with a skull, some flowers and wings coming out of it. Beauty within the darkness. The chorus: "If you were dead or still alive, I don't care, I don't care. And all the things you left behind. I don't care, I don't care." Now this part is a little extreme, but I can understand the wanting. Because people have gone through major things that have been very traumatic, and they just want the person that hurt them to disappear. But it is a little dark in some circumstances. I was always told never to wish death on anyone, but that could be different for other people. There's an instrumental part in between here. It's a mix of cello and drums. The second verse: "I try to make you see my side, always try to stay in line. But your eyes see right through, that's all they do. I'm getting tired of this shit. I've got no room when it's like this, what you want of me, just deal with it." I wasn't my best self when I was in the situation I was in, and I was very much a people pleaser. But that just ended up hurting me more, so I get this section. The chorus then repeats, with another instrumental part. Which brings us to the bridge: "Nothing can care about, I'm taking care of it. You won't be there for me, you won't be there for me." This part here, I can relate to. Because my ex, wasn't emotionally available, and as a very emotional person, it hurt me. I also felt like my emotions didn't matter at times. It was very hurtful, and now that I'm finally out of there. I know that my feelings do matter, and having them makes us human. There's another instrumental part, before the chorus repeats again. There is a little bit of an outro, with some background vocals mixed in there. I love that. Then at the end of the song we have this line "I don't care at all." I'll let you guys decide what that means for you. A really cool song, and very deep as well.

Okay, that's it for this review! I also plan on doing some Christmas songs in the coming weeks, because some bands I like have done Christmas songs. And they are awesome! Until next time, happy listening! RAWR XD <3
