Song 143
Hey everybody, welcome back to the blog. The song I have for you today is Without You By Villain Of The Story (Stripped version) It's a really beautiful song, so let's get into it. The soft intro is really nice to listen to, and makes for a nice ease into the song. First verse: "I lie awake through these endless nights, I see your face when I close my eyes. Reach out my hand thinking that you're real, my heart skips a beat but there's nothing to feel." This song is about missing someone, whether they have passed on, or they're just not around right now. It's a great song for when you miss that special someone. Pre-chorus: "Come back, come back to me." It's short I know, I'm probably not sectioning this right. But this is what I'm hearing. The chorus: "I'd give it all away, I would give anything, for another day. Another day with you. Just take the pain away, there's not much more I can take. Living another day, another day without you." So beautifully painful. Second verse: "I still can't believe that you're out of reach, is this the way that is was meant to be? With you taken away from me, tell me that this is nothing but a dream." So much emotional pain coming through here. Then the rest of the song is the same, with the first verse and the chorus repeating. I love stripped down songs, this one was done all on piano. So beautiful. With the vocals, almost isolated you can really hear the passion and the longing in his voice. Then the song fades out, with the last notes of the piano.
That's it for this review, thank you to everyone who has been reading these. It means the world to me, and if I have helped to broaden your music horizons, that's great! See you in the next one.
