Song 106
Hi everyone, I was in a fragile emotional state for a few days. But I'm doing better, excercise and listening to Nickelback and Daughtry have really helped me. Which is why this week's review is a Daughtry song. It's called What About Now? This song just really helped me, it put things into perspective for me. So let's get into the first verse: "Shadows fill an empty heart, as love is fading from all the things that we are. Are not saying, can we see beyond the scars. And make it to the dawn? Change the colors of the sky, and open up to. The ways you made me feel alive. The ways I loved you, for all the things that never died. To make it through the night, love will find you." Deep lyrics like this, just help my mind focus on other things. This comes along and makes me feel something. The chorus: "What about now? What about today? What if you're making me, all that I was mean to be? What if our love, never went away? What if it's lost behind, words we could never find? Baby, before it's too late, what about now?" This whole chorus just gives me hope, for something I want more than anything. It makes me believe it can be possible. Second verse: "The sun is breaking in your eyes, to start a new day. This broken heart can still survive, with a touch of your grace. Shadows fade into the light, I am by your side, where love will find you." I liked that broken heart line, because I know I can make it through as long as I have my person. The bridge: "Now that we're here, now that we've come this far, just hold on. There is nothing to fear, for I am right beside you. For all my life, I am yours." My person is what I want to hold on to, they gave me something to believe in. He has no idea how much they mean to me, and I will choose to love them through it all. I like how this song ends with "What about now?" That last line, is everything to me. The melody of everything is so soothing and calming, exactly what I needed.
That's it for this review, and do you have a band or artist that you listen to when you're going through stuff? :) See you next time
