Song 107
Hello music lovers, welcome back to the blog! I decided to do another review this week, because I love writing. And because I have so many songs to review, so here we go. Today's song is The Only Exception by Paramore. I absolutely love this song, ever since I heard the glee version of it. I think it's really pretty, and romantic. Everything I sing it or listen to it, there's always one person on mind the whole time. Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought it would give you all a suggestion for a good love song. The intro for this song, is a very nice slow melody on an acoustic guitar. The strumming pattern is just very soothing, really sets the tone for that romantic feel. Then we have the first verse: "When I was younger I saw, my daddy cry. And curse at the wind. He broke his own heart, and I watched as he tried to reassemble it. And my mama swore that she would never let herself forget. That was the day that I promised, I'd never sing of love if it does not exist." I always felt that too, but then a special person enters your life. And everything makes sense. The chorus: "But darling you are, the only exception." This part repeats a bunch of times, so I'm only going to write the first line. It's true, I think everyone has that one person that is our exception when it comes to love or something else. The second verse: "Maybe I know, somewhere deep in my soul. That love never lasts, and we've got to find other ways, to make it alone. And keep a straight face. And I've always lived like this, keeping a comfortable distance. And up until now, I had sworn to myself that I'm content, with loneliness. Because none of it was ever worth the risk." Until the universe has other plans, and someone very special to you turns it all around. The bridge: "I've got a tight grip on reality, but I can't let go of what's in front of me here. I know you're leaving in the morning when you wake up, leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream." I'm gonna leave this one up to you readers :) The outro for this song has some lyrics on it, so I'll put that in here. "And I'm on my way to believing, oh and I'm on my way to believing." When you meet someone who gives you something to believe in, it makes life seem better. That's why I love this song, it makes me happy singing it. And it also gives me hope.
I hope you all consider checking this song out, if you haven't listened to paramore before. I also hope you gave you a good idea for a love song, I have more love songs I would like to go over. So be on the lookout for that. See you in the next one :)
