Hello my fellow music lovers, welcome back to the blog! :) today I am reviewing Smile Empty Soul's newest song Sweet Sound! I love the different parts of this song's make up. It's so nicely dynamic! So let's get into it!
Starting with the intro, we have this epic heavy guitar riff. It sounds so satisfying, and pleasing to the ear. Then we're hit with the thunderous drums, adding another layer. This band never misses with their rock/grunge sound. This leads us into the first verse: "You've been living with the snake, I've been sinking like a stone. You've been eating your mistakes, I've been sitting here alone." Not really sure what this means, but I like the deilvery of it all. Next is the pre-chorus: "You've been burning at the stake, I've been sipping on a loss. Forever carrying the weight, of that over barring cross." I'm gonna let the readers interpret what the lyrics of this song means, I'm just gonna give my opinion on how the song is arranged. The verse and pre-chorus have this heavy sound, then for the chorus, it's this smooth rock sound. The chorus: "I know I've been breaking by design, I'm falling. Into the plan you had in mind becoming. Something that I don't recognize, I'm changing. Goodbye sweet sound, goodbye sweet sound." Very nice listening experience with this chorus. There isn't a second verse for this song, the pre-chorus takes the place of that. Then the first verse, repeats as well. Then we have the chorus again, interesting make up. After the chorus repeats, the melody gets a little slower. When we get to the outro, we have this lovely piano verse for the chorus. I like how this keeps you engaged right up to the end. It makes you feel different things, as the song goes along. I think that's cool. Very smooth transitions on the vocals and melodies, it's just an overral very satisfying song to listen to.

This seems like a cool song to listen too when you are having a rough day or you're just taking a break from work. I like the idea of making your own sense of the lyrics, all music is open to interpretation. We all take lyrics in our own way, finding meaning through our different points of view. I love reading these reviews and can't wait til the next one.
