song 221

 Song 221

Hello my fellow music lovers, welcome back to the blog! Before I get into today's review. I wanted to tell you about my new dream with this writing music reviews thing. One of my dreams was to write for an artist, and I am so thankful to Fatehartt for making that dream come true. I look forward to writing another one for him again! My new dream, is to one day write a review and have it up on Kerrang's website! I would love to write for Kerrang one day! If you don't know what that is, Kerrang is like this thing for alternative bands and artists. They had magazines back in the 2000s, but I saw someone wrote a review for New Found Glory. And it was up on Kerrang's website. I thought, it would be so cool to do that one day. Okay back to today's review, the song I have chosen for today is Rearranging Scars by Sueco. This song is featured in the new Scream movie, Ice Nine Kills also has a new song in that movie. Now, I am not a horror movie fan. But I do love this song. I don't know a lot about Sueco, except for the song he did with Stand Atlantic. I do know he can sing. So let's get into the review!

Starting with the intro, we have this heavy mix of guitars and drums and this eletronic sound that I can't quite place. But it sounds really cool, there is also a little bit of lyrics. "(I tried) I could try or I could say f*** it." This leads us into the first verse: "Can't blame my heart when my brain did it, my conscious way past the weight limit. Not fit to fit in or stay hidden, lost count of mistakes at eight digits. Retracing scars, constellation it. Replacing stars on the wraith celling. Speed racing bars, yeah, I hate feeling. Romanticize all the pain in it." Not sure how to analzye this, but I do like how the vocals are set up. The chorus: "I am so f****** sick of what I've become, if I was rearranging scars. (oh-oh-oh) I'd take what's most traumatic, make beauty out of madness. But there's no rearranging scars, (oh-oh-oh) I can't undo the damage, dig deep into the scratches. (I could try or I could say f*** it)" I kind of relate to this chorus in a way, and just musically it's satisfying. It's very catchy. There's a little instrumental part, then we're at the second verse: "Can't blame my heart when my brain did it, my mind is broke, I can't pay visit. My life's a joke, and God stay grinning. I thank the Lord that she made sinning. It hurts when I get pain withdrawal, plus everything got pain involved. I built too high, I'm made to fall. Don't sanctify my face at all." That part about pain being invloved in everything, is too true. Self-inflicted pain is honestly just as bad as when someone or something else causes that pain. I know it's a movie song, but it honestly runs so deep. I like that it's not our typical movie song or score. The chorus repeats, with some instrumentals thrown in there. There's no bridge, the chorus just repeats a final time. I would also like to mention the screaming voclas as well, very good screams. The outro is that same heavy electronic sound, which sounds similar to how Motionless In White use that method. I like it. So yeah, I think it's a really cool song, and even if you're not a horror fan I still think you would like this. Plus it's actually not that horror related, I think it could be an allegory for mental health, or even a metaphor.

There's also a music video that goes along with it, I haven't seen it. But you should check it out if you get the chance. That wraps up this review, I hope you like this one, and I hope you check out the song! Until next time, happy listening! RAWR XD <3
