Song 215
Hello everyone! I wanted to review another one of Fatehartt's songs today! Because He's amazing, and I'm head over heels for him *sigh* Anyway, the song I chose is called Haunted. I really like this one, I think it's very unique and deserves recognition! So let's get into it!
Starting with the intro, we have this really soft piano action happening. I love that, leading into the first verse, the drums pick up and that's when the lyrics come in. "I'm late to the show, it's the one we'll all know. But how could you mind, if there's nothing inside. That was the moment where I realized, if there is a God they're so cruel and I hope that they die. Everyone is wearing their rose colored glasses, I think it's in their DNA they took all their classes. I tried my best to weep as the grim he reaped, but the tears never fell to my cheek." So profound, and it really makes you think. Heavy set lyrics, and talking about how people like to brush things under the rug, without fully facing things how they are. I also love the soft vocals on this track, it sounds really nice. The chorus: "Was it all your fault that you're so cold, I was so young but I still understood why they gather round, and sing your name. You're the reason I am haunted." I find this relatable, with what I went through with my ex. The trauma I have from them, comes in waves sometimes. And I do feel like I'm haunted by that past, but I get better everyday, and I know, I wasn't my best self when I was with them. I know who I am, and I've learned from that experience. The second verse: "The glass reflects the tears roll down, the face of a child looking back. At the king of pain. The glass mixes in with the blood on my hands, the mirror shatters like Helter Skelter. These thoughts like mortar shells in my head, I'm the king of pain, I am the king of pain." Such deep set lyrics, he's so lyrically gifted. I'm fascinated by it. The chorus repeats again, with no bridge. But there is an outro: "Sometimes I see the people that I love die, there's no violence there's no gore. They're just gone, all I wanna do is shut my eyes. So that I never have to lose them, I'm haunted like a king with a crown of thorns." So deep I could swim in these lyrics, it touches my soul. And at the end, there's some nonsense with this line "Mmm mmm banana." Lol, I love him. He wanted to put something funny at the end, because it's such a heavy, and melodically morbid song. That's so unique, and it's very personal in that aspect as well. I love the melody, I love the vocals. It's just a really good song, and very special in terms of what he did with it.
I hope you consider checking this out! Until next time, happy listening!! :) RAWR <3
