Hey! I'm back again, with another new song! This is As It Is new song Ruin My Life ft. Murray Macleod! (Always make sure to include the ft when there is one, because everyone deserves recognition) These guys don't disappoint, and I am also looking forward to their new album as well! 

There isn't really an intro for this song, so we'll move right along into the first verse: "It's Friday and closing time in Texas, the boys have had too much to drink again. I'm alone, surrounded by sensation. But what I'd give to feel it one more time." What I get from this is maybe a recovering from alcohol addiction situation. The arrangement is really nice, very easy listening on this first section. And very much that pop punk sound I love from this band. The chorus: "I'm gonna ruin my life (ruin my life) Self-sabotage on my mind. So take me to the water, let me sink a little farther. I'm going to pass the time, by ruining my life." Very catchy chorus, and love how it's arranged. I also love the big bass drops, mixed with this electronic sound. The vocals are also very well done, Patty is a great singer! I wonder of this song is a metaphor, I'm just not sure for what. There's an instrumental part, then the second verse: "I woke up in that hospital in Sydney, yeah where we went when Jayden broke Ali's nose. (He's gone down) The nights were long, and I could hardly face them. But what I'd give to feel it one more time, yeah what I'd give to feel it one more time." Okay, I'd like to hear the whole story about the broken nose thing. Love when they put in some experiences into the song, helps people feel more connected. Then the chorus repeats, and there's the bridge: "I'm falling back to you, (picking up, picking up the pieces) I'm falling back to you. (There's no sense in ruining my life) I'm falling back to you, (picking up, picking up the pieces, oh) I'm falling back to you. Oh f***, I'm ruining my life. (Hey) yeah (I'm ruining my life) I'm ruining my life." This part, is about going back to someone who never was the best for you. At least that's how I see it, and that is something I know all too well. Biggest mistake of my life was giving ex a second chance, and there were moments where maybe I was ruining my life by staying as long as I did. Which looking back, that's exactly what it was. Then there's another instrumental part, followed by the chorus repeating a final time. There's an outro, and it sounds really cool. With the guitar being dragged out, in this long wave-length sound. Really cool.
