song 179

 Song 179

Wow, almost at 180! I might just make it to 200 reviews before the end of the year! That would be awesome! This song is brought to us by my best friend who knows my music taste so well, thank you R for the song! *hugs* It's called Make Your Move by The Relapse Symphony, an American band, that might have broken up or some other reason because their last song was in 2020. But even though they haven't had anything new, doesn't mean they don't have good music. And this is a great song, that I'm so happy to share with you! So let's go!

The intro, is a really fun pop punk style set up. Only I wouldn't really call this entirely pop punk, maybe just punk. Because it doesn't really have that popness to it. I like the guitar, and the drums the arrangement is really nice. The first verse: "Looks like another black out night, no holding back so hold on tight. One thing this place has taught me, is how to go oh on. I'm feeling like the older I get, the more that I'd like to forget. Seeing you fall apart like this, I think I found something I'll miss." I really like the vocals on this track, it's very just rock type vibes. Mixed with the instruments and it's so fun, and cool. (Also if you've seen music videos of these guys, or found some pics of them they look awesome, if you haven't already heard of them. You should look them up, because their look is freaking sick!) The chorus: "If only I knew then, all the things that I know now. You can get through anything, everything works out somehow. I'd fight to win, no giving in. And I'm done wasting time, go on and make your move. And baby I'll make mine." They kind of remind me of Simple Plan a bit, which I like. Also that part about things working out, it's true. Sometimes things do work out. So don't lose hope. The second verse: "I had it all and threw it all away, never gonna be the same. The wrong side of the tracks, just always felt like home. All the friends I'll never forget, all the time we could have spent. I wonder what they're doing now, I wish I could go back somehow." There's some people that I used to know, I'd like to know what they're up to. Maybe some childhood friends, just to see how they turned out. But of course, you can't change the past. In all those time traveling shows and movies, every time someone goes back in time and tries to change the past. It always ends badly. So just live in the now, and let the past be past. (I know that it's hard if you have trauma, or PTSD/CPSTD but you can get through it, I believe in you) Then the chorus repeats. The bridge: "And I'm done giving in now, you won't get the best of me. And I'm moving on now, you'll see." It's a short bridge I know, but very meaningful. I need to move on from feelings that I've had for a long time, and it's been hard. But somehow I'm still friends with that person, because they still mean a lot to me. They're still my best friend, and I love that they're in my life. After the bridge, there's this awesome instrumental part. Electric guitar wailing in the best way. Then the chorus repeats two more times, with a little bit of an outro. It's a really track, and thanks again to R for sending me this song. :)

That wraps up this review I hope you consider checking it out. Until next time, happy listening!

  1. This one seems really cool, another one who's lyrics have some deeper meaning. It's always fascinating to listen to a song that you can relate to in so many ways. Songs that make you feel, remember, and reflect on your life in a profound way. Can't wait til the next review.
