Song 145

 Song 145

Hello you wonderful music lovers! Welcome back! Today I have a song called The Handwritten Letter by As It Is! I reviewed them before, but for a different song. I really love this one. It's really fun, and sweet as well. I believe it's kind of a love song, but it also reminds you to keep going. So without further introduction, here we go! The intro immediately starts us off, bringing a really fun beat. A nice blend of bass, drums, and guitar. Leading us into the first verse, which slows down briefly. "There's a song that sounds a lot like you, it pulls me up just like it pulls me apart. Optimistic meets a dismal tune, you're all the while broken and mended hearts." I love how emotional this first line is, very real and very raw. The pre-chorus: "You take my silences and make them less alone, a fresh coat of paint inside my coffin so it feels like home. I know I'm not enough, out on my own. No I'm not enough." I feel like this part is kind of subjective, because if you feel like you aren't anything without someone then maybe you might need to work on yourself a bit. But at the same time, your person could potentially be making you better. I don't know, kind of conflicted on this. The chorus: "I need you when I'm bruised and broken, it's all that keeps me here and hoping. I'm tangled in your mind unwoven, I need you when I'm bruised. I need you when I'm broken." I love this part, my person always makes me smile. Plus they make me feel good about myself, and well I just love them. The second verse: "There's a truth to finding all your lies, you make me love the way that I fall apart. Common misery is all we have, you're all the while dead ends and glowing starts." I actually love that I'm a mess sometimes now, because I have people that let me be myself. And that's really special. There isn't really a bridge, on this song. At least not musically, but there is background talking. It's from a bunch of people, talking about their struggles. That pretty much wraps this one up, The melody on this is just really fun, and I love the message in this. The song kind of fades out as it ends, a very common way to wrap up a song. But still very effective. I love it.

That's it for this one, I hope you consider checking this one out. I will see you all next time! :)
