song 137

 Song 137

Hello my fellow music lovers! Welcome back to the blog! Today I have a great song for you, it's called SHOUT by girlfriends! The intro of this song is so freaking good. It has that nice drum beat, that goes so hard. There is some lyrics for the intro, so I'm gonna put those in here. "Shout, I gotta get it out. Shout, I gotta get it out." Sometimes you do just have to let out those feelings and emotions, and in some cases that's in the form of shouting. First verse: "I've got soap in my teeth, they were already clean. Hovered over the sink, why would you do this to me? For the thoughts that I think, or the words that I speak. I don't think you believe in my freedom of speech." I don't have any thoughts on this verse, so we'll just continue on. The pre-chorus: "We're the misfits, we're the broken. In the land of the lost and the hopeless, come from nothing, going nowhere. I gotta get it out, I'll show you what I'm all about." So the chorus is the same as what was in the intro, so we'll just move on to the second verse: "I'll tell you what's on my mind, but you don't wanna know. If I told you the truth, you would pull out the soap. And I can't match the taste of your hands in my face. No, I won't miss the days of watching what I say." I'm getting the sense, that they're talking about saying whatever the heck they want to say. Without worrying about what people think. Also this song is so different than what they usually do, this band I would describe is kind of pop punk. But this song has a more edgier vibe to it. The bridge: "Ever since I was young, they told me bite my tongue. Now there's blood in my mouth, I'm gonna spit it out." Okay, now I get it. Being silent your whole life, will make you finally want to say things as loud as you want. There is kind of an intro, with the chorus repeating for a final time, and an instrumental part. But other than that, the song just kind of ends.

That's it for this episode, I really hope you go check this song out. And I will see you in the next one :)

  1. This one was very interesting. I kinda understand all the emotions that go with it. I felt the same way growing up, I hope that I have finally found my voice as an adult. These types of songs really stir up the past for me. I feel alot of nostalgia for them. Great job looking forward to the next one.
