Hello everyone, this is my valentine's day song review. I hope you like it. It's called Stop This Song (Lovesick Melody) by Paramore. I really like how fast the intro is on this, makes for an upbeat sounding tune. Being from 2007 makes it a lot better. Next is the first verse: "You say the sweetest things and I can't keep my heart from singing, along to the sound of your song, my stupid feet keep moving. To this four by four beat, I'm in time with you. Whoa, to this four by four beat, I would die for you. Someone stop this." The pre-chorus was probably mixed in there, but it's hard to decipher those sometimes. I also like how the beat of this track is actually in the lyrics, so I don't have to guess it. The chorus: "I've gone too far to come back from here, but you don't have a clue. You don't know what you do to me, won't someone stop this song? So I won't sing along, someone stop this song. So I won't sing." I get this so much, I feel like she's talking about loving someone you can't be with. It is really hard, but you can't help but still love them. The second verse: "I never let love in, so I could keep my heart from hurting. The longer that I live with this idea, the more I sink in." I have a hard time letting people in, I have trauma from people leaving. As well as being alone in high school, so the people that I have let into my life are pretty special. The chorus has a different part in this section "I've come too far to get over you." I'll just leave this line alone. The bridge: "Can't someone stop this song? So I won't sing along, someone stop this song. So I won't sing. Your lovesick melody, is gonna get the best of me tonight. But you won't get to me if I don't sing. It creeps in like a spider, can't be killed. Although I try and try to. Well, don't you see I'm falling? Don't wanna love you, but I do." That last part is actually kind of heartbreaking, and something I have thought about from time to time. But I still consider this a love song, it's just a different take on love. The outro has this line: "So I won't sing your lovesick melody, is gonna get the best of me tonight. But you won't get to me. No, you won't get to me, cause I won't sing." Basically saying how, if she doesn't sing along to the person's tune. Then she won't have her heart broken further. Even if you try to ignore your feelings, they still come through. And you should never be ashamed of having emotions or feelings, it's what makes us human. I have a hard time processing my emotions, which is why I listen to music. They help put my feelings into focus, so I can understand them better.
