Song 98
Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! Since it's the holiday season, I thought I would review a Christmas song! The one I have chosen is Christmas on the Road by Sleeping with Sirens! This song feels very festive and also sweet, so I thought it would be a good one to review. The beat is played on an acoustic guitar, and it's in the perspective of an artist who's on tour and is thinking about coming home. Which is probably why the title is called Christmas on the Road. Starting with verse 1: "Snow is falling, last train home. Hurry up, it's been too long. I know, I know. Been on the road a hundred days, and I can't to see your face. Come home, she said, come home. You been waiting so long for me, all I want is you this Christmas Eve." Aww isn't that sweet :) I totally get it, I actually get to have December with my person this year. Last year things weren't good between us in December, but now I actually get to have Christmas with them. The chorus: "Hey baby, all I want for Christmas is you, you. Hey baby, all I want for Christmas is you, you. And I can't wait to come home for Christmas." So romantic. Second verse: "Never have I felt such cheer, this is my favourite time of year. It's true, with you. The kids are playing wild and free, light shining on our Christmas tree, oh, oh. Yeah, I'm home." Just gonna leave this verse alone. The bridge: "You been waiting so long for me, I know that's not that fair. Now, baby, I come home on Christmas morning. Knock on your door, the snow is falling. You come out, come out to greet me. Wrap your arms, your arms around me. Kiss me underneath the mistletoe, I love you, love you so." A very sweet and romantic Christmas song, with a nice melody to go along with it.
That's it for this review, I'm only one more song away from 100! :) see you next time and Happy Holidays everyone! :)
