song 64

 Song 64

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! This is my last song review for May, and I am very excited for next month! For today's song we have another acoustic one! I have chosen, Massachusetts (acoustic) by Silverstein! Who are Canadian like me! Hehe, okay so I love this band's acoustic songs, they are done so well. They're lead singer can really sing, that's why I love acoustic versions because I feel like you can really hear people. And feel their emotions shining through. I love the soft tone of the acoustic guitar being the star of this song, it's a very easy listening song. Also very catchy melody, gorgeous vocals. I mean he can also scream when he wants to as well, but I like the tone of his voice. It's time for the interpretation part of the song review! I think this song is about leaving an abusive relationship, because here's some of the lyrics: "She'll fantasize about it, every single day but she can't find it in her heart to run away. And no one's listening." Meaning no one is hearing her side of the story, which is so sad. Then the next line goes: "On his knees to stay, he's begging please, oh baby please I can explain. It won't happen again." So maybe it's an abusive relationship with some cheating as well. I think the guy cheated on her, and now she's trying to find the courage to leave him. Oh wait, yeah I was right about the abusive part. Because at the beginning of the song, they mention bruises. "she's cutting out the bruises, forgetting her excuses for being here again." So it's a tragic story, but it's well executed through the music. I like story songs, they make you feel like you're there too. Living every moment with the character.

A really good song, and that's a wrap! I will see you all next month! Bye take care :)

Song 63

 Song 63

Hello my fellow music lovers/enthusiasts! Welcome back to the blog! Before I get started, a little life update: Someone who I love and care a lot about has come back into my life, a person who I think is really cool, and smart, and talented. A person who I consider to be my best friend, I didn't realize how much I missed them until we started talking again. When I lost him, it was devastating. I was so angry, hurt, and sad all at the same time. They were always my favourite person to talk to, especially about music. I have very insane taste in music, as you all know. But he always understood me, and I loved talking about music with him. They would always send me music, then I would review it if I liked it. I loved watching him play guitar, it was amazing. I can honestly say I am so happy to have them back in my life, despite everything that happened. The past is the past, and I look forward to us being back. Only this time I think it will be even better. So to my best friend, thank you for not giving up on me. I love you, I don't think I ever stopped. It just took me awhile to be okay again, now that you have reentered my life, I feel like my heart has finally healed. *hugs* <3

Okay on with today's song! Today I have Lost My Cool by Stand Atlantic! This is another song I found on accident, lol I'm always finding songs randomly. I did a Stand Atlantic song review before, but this one is a little different. The intro of this song, really sucks you in. It had a nice tone to it, the lead singer keeps her voice very neutral. Very simple guitar strumming, the song has two parts to the first verse. I find this very cool, it's not your typical song structure. Her voice then gets more pronounced, when we hit the chorus. "Not a saint, I became everything I hate. I still paint you red, just to forget your name. And piece myself together with a stale glue. Found out you're full of sh**, why don't you swallow it." This song is edgy as well as catchy, but I wouldn't call it a pure rock song. I would say this in the pop punk genre. "So take your crooked friends, wipe off your silent grin. Cause when you held my hand, should've dug my nails in." I love that line so much, I don't really know why. I guess I just love the way it was arranged. This song was released in 2018, I wish I had some info about the band. I just know they have female lead singer, and they make good music. There's a little break in the song, with some background vocals. I always liked that in a song. I love the outro on this song, there's just something so satisfying about the way it ends. You have the melody going, and it still keeps you hooked right up to the last note. The title is never mentioned in the song, which means it's the theme, or message they are trying to get across. Because my interpretation of this song, is it's about a break up. And it's about regrets, the title saying she lost her cool, means that she couldn't take it anymore. Because she found out the person she was with wasn't what she had hoped for. At least I think that's what it means, I could be wrong here. All in all it's a really good song, and I hope you check it out. I smile when I listen to it, and it's fun to dance to. The run time on this track is 3:25

That's it for this review! I hope I have convinced you to listen this masterpiece! Until next time, keep being you, keep doing what makes you happy, and always remember that things get better <3

Song 62

 Song 62

Hello my fellow music nerds! Welcome back to the blog! I have a new song review for you all today! (No it's not another Escape the Fate song lol) Even though I do love them, no this is a different band. They only only had two albums, but they are pretty cool. Okay the song is All My Life by Elliot Minor. This is a single, and was released in 2014, nothing has been done by them since then. Which has be believe that, they either spilt up or stopped making music and wanted to pursue other projects. I really love the tone of this song, the melody is very calming to me. There's soft drum beats, as well as the guitar. most songs have this combination, but it's still cool. "All my life, I've been searching, unravelling the pieces for the truth. All my life, I've been waiting, fighting for the say when I'm with you." I find that so romantic, almost like meeting for the first time. I reviewed one of their songs before, but that was a different vibe than this one has. I like the intro of this song, it's different in the best way. It has that almost violin type sound going on, only more electronic. "Cause I'm alive, I'm on fire, and I'm going to find the broken pieces of you. Cause you're my life and you're on fire, and I'm going to find the broken pieces of you all my life." Well could you help me with that? lol, anyway my interpretation of this song is: He wants to help someone who has been hurt, and is willing to take his whole life to do it. At least that's what I think it means, but it's an open interpretation like a lot of songs are. This song doesn't really have an outro, it just kind of stops. Which is fine, not every song needs one. Sometimes I'll be listening to something, and I feel like it needs a little more on the end of it. Because it will feel unfinished to me, so when I'm singing a song like that I might add a few extra notes at the end. Or I'll sing a run to finish the song off. Really great song, if you choose to check it out. (I hope you do ;)

That wraps up this review, have a great week everybody! <3 *hugs* (I'm still trying to think what album I want to review, once I figure it out I will write it and get it out) Okay bye! hehe

Song 61

 Song 61

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Today's song is Walk On by Escape the Fate! (They're kind of my hyperfixation band right now hehe) This song is perfect, in the sense that whenever I hear it, it inspires me to keep going. This song makes me want to do things, and to never give up. Plus it's just a really great track! I even made a bracelet for it, so I can always remember to keep going! The tone in the intro is very soothing, then you're hit with the beautiful vocals of Craig Mabbit, singing "Walk on till you see the light of day, walk on till the darkness goes away. Everybody feels alone sometimes. Walk on, when you're going through hell, keep going. Walk on till your broken heart's unbroken, everybody feels alone sometimes. Walk on, walk on." I just love that message, we're altogether in this. We all have moments of loneliness, and feel like we're not good enough. But here, it's saying that we can fight through the tough times. As for the instrumentals, you have your standard drum and guitar melody going on. Even though Escape the Fate is a rock band, they also have a pop punk sort of sound to them as well. I like that, they can also write really emotional and touching songs as well! I love bands who are versatile like that. The reason why I picked this particular song to review is because I feel like we all could use some hope right now, and music has always been therapeutic and uplifting for me. I hope this song encourages all of you to stay strong, and to keep fighting. Walk on everybody :)

Well that's it for this review, hope you consider checking it out. Take care of yourselves everyone, I love you, I believe in you, and thank you so much for being here! :) <3 Until next time!

Song 60

 Song 60

Hello my fellow music nerds! Happy May! It's a new month, which means I have new reviews to do! Lol, here we are at 60 song reviews! OMG! I just want to thank you amazing people for reading my posts over the course of this blog, it means so much to me! I started this blog two years ago, and there have been times when I wanted to give up. I thought nobody cared about my opinions on songs, and just passed me by. But there are people who do read these, and I appreciate it more than words! This is my way of sharing my love of music with the world, and I promise I won't give up on this blog. Even when I doubt myself, or I feel like not many people care I will continue to write music reviews because this is what I love.

Okay on with today's song, for my 60th song review we have:  Picture Perfect By Escape the Fate (acoustic) Now I've listened to both versions of this song, and I have to say the acoustic one just hits different! I can feel the emotion in the guys voice, and the tone just works so well with the lyrics. "And I'd give up my eyes, to see you one last time. And I'd give all my fingertips to touch you." Like how romantic is that? (I know I'm a little weird) But it is! Then these next lyrics are just *sigh* "And I could paint you picture perfect even if I was blinded. But you had to die for me to see how to live." </3 It goes from romantic to heartbreaking in just a few short lines! The song writing, is beautiful I am always just so impressed with songwriters. I wish I was that good, but I'm better at writing reviews and short stories than I am at lyrics. Throughout the song, there's the acoustic guitar and the plucking of the strings. That's really cool, because it adds that something extra to the song. "paint bleeds, I can't breathe, need you here with me. Close my eyes I can feel you close, why did you have to go?" :( I think this song is about losing someone, the person mentioned in the song, has me to believe that they died. You can just feel the emotion in the dude's voice, and that hits me right in the heart. They have another song that did this to me, and I might review it you'll just have to see :)

That's it for this one, I hope you give it a listen! There is many more to come, I might do another album review this month because I haven't done one of those in awhile, and it would be fun to another one! Bye Bye for now, and keep listening keep music close to your heart :) <3
