MCR

 MCR

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Sorry I went a little MIA, nothing bad happened just took some time off from this. Now I know this blog is about song reviews and stuff, but tonight I would like to take a moment and talk about the amazing American band My Chemical Romance. I have only been listening to them for a few weeks, but honestly they are so incredible. I don't know how popular they are here in Canada, but this emo Canadian girl loves their music! A little side note here, I want to talk about Gerard Way. I've seen a few videos and some concert clips from this year, and I've read some of his quotes online. He has made me cry, in the best possible way, and when I saw fans thanking him for literally saving their lives, I was just so emotional, also Gee seems like such a wonderful person. I can tell he has a beautiful heart, and the love for his family is really sweet. This band has done so much for so many people, in fact I bet there's a lot of people who wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for them. I'm honestly just so honored to be able to listen to their music, and feel this deep connection with their songs. The lyrics of some their work is really inspiring, and I just love how many lives they have impacted, how many lives they have saved, and keeping people alive. In their song Famous Last Words, the lyrics "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone." I now wonder how much those words meant to people. One of my favourites of theirs is The World Is Ugly. I am so obsessed with this song, it makes me think about life and if I ever meet my soulmate one day I will sing this song for them. Well I guess that's it, they are incredible and I strongly advise you guys to check out their music, and watch some concert videos. I guess I am one more person they have impacted with their music. Thank You MCR for being the light in a dark world.

I hope everyone had a good weekend, take care of yourselves, and be kind.

song 10

 Song 10

Hey everyone! I'm back with another song review. But before I get into it, I just want to be real with everybody. So last week was a hard week for me, I broke down twice and my intrusive thoughts were being mean to me. I also broke down today, having anxiety is hard and I do the best I can but sometimes life gets overwhelming and I just don't know how to handle it. I'm taking things one step at a time, I also relapsed today with my nail digging that was not fun. I'm doing okay right now, and would like to review a song for everyone. The song I picked tonight is Disenchanted by MCR. I know I already covered one of their songs, but MCR is what I've been listening to recently, and it's kind of helped a bit. Disenchanted is on their third album Black Parade, and the tone of this song is soft but meaningful lyrics. My favourite lyrics are probably

"You're just a sad song, with nothing to say about a life long wait for a hospital stay. And if you think that I'm wrong, this never meant nothing to you." Interpret that anyway you want.

This is a short one, because that's all I have to say about this song. I hope you all check it out, and please give their other songs a listen as well.

Song 9

 Song 9

Hey everyone, so this will be the last song review for a bit. I made a goal for myself to do a song review everyday this week, and that has happened! After this song is done, I'm taking a little break. I don't know even know if people are actually enjoying these, or they think I'm just a jerk who thinks her music taste is better than other peoples. That's not the case here, I'm just a lonely 19 year Canadian girl who has crippling social anxiety, and nothing going on in her life. Anyway here's the song- Simply Meant To Be from the movie The nightmare before Christmas. This is one of my all time favourite movies, and this song makes me want to be in love. (SPOILER ALERT!) this song is from the end of the movie, when Jack realizes his feelings for Sally. I really hope to meet the Jack to my Sally one day. But it probably won't happen, I'm too messed up for that. :(

Well that's it for now, if people out there on the internet do read these thank you. And if you don't then I understand, I might be back after my break we'll see.

Peace, Love, Rawr XD

song 8

 Song 8

Happy Friday, today was Remembrance Day here in Canada and Veteran's Day in the states. I am a proud daughter to a military man who served in Afganistan. Today was a reflection and time to remember those fought for our freedom, the brave men and women who fought and are continuing to fight to make the world a better place I salute you, and thank you for your service. My grandfather is also a retired veteran, so I know exactly the kind of respect our soldiers deserve. For today's song I have picked Travelin Soldier by The Chicks. This song is about a young girl who had a boyfriend fighting in the war, and everyone told her that she was too young to date a military man, because there's the chance that he wouldn't come back. Unfortunately at the end of the song her boyfriend doesn't come back. This song is very easy to listen to, but also very sad. I just thought this would be a good song for this particular day, as we remember the fallen heroes. Lest We Forget.

Thank you everyone for reading these, I really do appreciate it. Please check out the song, it has an important message in there. Peace, love, rawr XD

song 7

 Song 7

Hello everybody, hope everyone is having a good week! Tonight's song is When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne. This song is a little sad, it's about missing someone close to you when they are away for awhile. I listen to this song when I'm missing something, it relaxes me. Avril has a very unique voice, and I love her style. She's the OG pop punk queen, and started her career when she was just 17! The reason I love this song is because, of how soft the melody is and the lyrics are beautifully written. "when you're gone, the pieces of my heart are missing you, when you're gone the face I came to know is missing too." So heartbreaking yet so beautiful. That's really all I can think to say about this song. As always check out this song wherever you listen to music, and follow Avril on her socials.

Hope everyone is doing well, if you have any suggestions for songs I should review please let me know! I would love to know what songs you people like. Until tomorrow, everyone stay safe, be kind to yourself and others. Peace, love, rawr XD

Song 6

 Song 6

Hello, hello! Tonight's song is Hold My Hand by Lady Gaga!

This song is beautiful! I love singing it, this song is in the new Top Gun movie that came out a few months ago. Lady Gaga is just so talented, her voice is amazing and she just slays everything she does! This song is very comforting, the arrangement is very cool. I love the vocals on this track, the part at the end is pure perfection. Please check out this song, it's perfect for people who have a loved one who may be struggling, and just maybe needs someone to hold on to, hence the lyrics: "tell me you need me, I see that you're bleeding. You don't need to show me again, but if you decide to I'll ride in this life with you. I won't let go til the end."

So stay strong out there people, if anybody needs someone to talk to there's always someone you can trust out there. Sometimes acknowledging you need help is the bravest thing you can do, and it can also help other people who are going through the same thing.

Until next time: Peace, Love, rawr XD

Song 5

 Song 5

What's up human beings! Tonight's song is I'll Sleep When I'm Dead by Set It Off.

My bestie actually recommended this song to me, and I'm really glad she did because I love it!

(Thank you Patricia) This song is about having issues sleeping, whether it be insomnia or just intrusive thoughts in general. I have experienced trouble with sleep, and this song is explains perfectly what that feeling is like. I don't know anything about the band that sings this song, but I'm sure they are on some sort of social media platform. So you can check them out from there. The melody of this song is very edgy (my emo music loving heart just died for it) it's really fun to let out your sleep frustrations to the words. My favourite part of the song are these lyrics

"lye in the darkness so content, as the sun begins to rise. I can barely shut my eyes!" Absolute gold!

Well that's it for this review, hope you liked it. And to people who are seeing these reviews thank you so much for reading them it means the world to me! Peace, love, rawr XD

Song 4

 Song 4

Hello people of earth! Welcome back to Music Reviews! Brace yourselves this one is going to be a long one. For tonight's song I have chosen Broken At The Seams by Johnnie Guilbert. This song made me cry, I could feel this man's pain through his voice and through his music. I started listening to Johnnie's music only just last month, and I absolutely love his voice. He is so talented, and he's been through so much in his life. I don't know how many of you know about him, but he used to be apart of the youtube channel My Digital Escape. He struggles with mental health, and he has gone through a break up. My heart just breaks for him, I can tell how much he was hurt by his ex. I don't know the extent of their break up, it's their business what happened between them. But I can tell how much he's hurting, I can feel it deep in my soul. Also this guy puts every inch of himself into his music, the first song I listened to by him was Anxiety acoustic version. Just one listen of that song and I was hooked. If I could say one thing to Johnnie Guilbert it would be this: You are so talented, I want to give you such a big hug, you have helped so many people. I've read some instagram posts made about you, and the people have said that you have saved them with your music and by just being you. I think you're really cool, I think you have a beautiful heart and you have so much love to give. I know you'll find love again some day.

He also inspires me, I love his aesthetic the way he dresses and stuff is so freaking cool, and he has these piercing blue eyes that are just gorgeous! Oops I'm off topic, anyway you get the idea. He inspires me to be myself, to be brave, because I think he's really brave to put himself out there. I struggle with social anxiety so much so that I have trouble leaving the house, and I can't get a job in a public place because I get way too anxious around people. But here is a person who is constantly making music for people, constantly putting himself out there to make the world a better place through his art. I admire him for that. Johnnie Guilbert you truly are a brave, talented, funny, also sweet person. Thank you for sharing your music with the world.

Now I'm just a 19 year old girl from Canada, I'm still learning about life, they say teens don't know anything. Well I know good people when I see them, and Johnnie is a good person. He also loves animals which is really sweet. Johnnie I hope you come to Canada one day for a tour, because I would love to see you live! So stream Johnnie's music wherever you listen to music, and follow him on his socials. I'll leave a link to Broken at The Seams in this post.

Oh and people who read this, if you could tag Johnnie in this post I would really appreciate that. I want him to know how special he is, and show him some love.

song 3

 Song 3

Hey everyone welcome back! Tonight's song is The Archer by Taylor swift.

When I listened to this song, I loved the tone of it. The lyrics: "Who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay" was really powerful to me. Because I have wondered if someone could ever put up with all my issues, and if anyone could stay with me. The song is just really beautiful in general, and Taylor has a killer voice obviously. This song speaks to people who have ever been in a position where you felt like no one could stay, or no one could be able to love you. Well I'm here to tell you, you are worthy of love! Doesn't matter who you are, or what you look like. Everyone is worthy of love.

That's it for this review, I hope you check out the song. Peace, Love. Rawr XD and remember to be kind to yourself and others. 😊

song 2

Song 2

Hello everyone! Welcome back to music reviews! Tonight's song is I Don't Love You by My Chemical Romance. I LOVE this song! The lyrics are beautiful, and the melody is very smooth it gives off slow dance vibes. This song actually made me think of my ex crush, and it made me think of how I don't love him anymore like I used to. So if you're interested please check out this song, it's perfect for anyone who has ever gone through a break up, or just really loved someone but it didn't work out.

Much love to everyone, I hope you are all well and taking care of yourselves. I hope to make a song recommendation everyday for the next week, and I hope it encourages all of you to find some more music. Peace and love Rawr XD

Intro

 Intro

Hello everyone! This is a separate blog where I write reviews about songs that I love. As well as the artists who create these wonderful masterpieces. I decided to start this because I'm a huge music nerd, and I wanted to put out some recommendations in case anyone is interested. A little background, so music has always been a huge part of my life. From when I was little and the first song I learned to sing was twinkle twinkle little star. I've always been drawn to tv shows and movies that had music in it, which looking back on makes so much sense to me. Music has always been there for me, especially when I was in school. As a socially anxious teen I didn't have any friends, and walking those halls everyday was a nightmare for me. Music was my only friend, the only thing that kept me going through those lonely days. Okay enough with the sob story, back to the blog.

So for tonight's first song recommendation I have

This song saved my life by Simple Plan. This song is so amazing, the lyrics have a deep meaning that can appeal to anyone who has been in a dark place, but then a certain song comes along and literally saves you. Simple Plan is a Canadian band from Montreal Quebec, they have even done some songs in French. If you would like to check them out, or learn more about them you can follow them on Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.

I hope you enjoy this song, and stay tuned for more reviews!
