Song 125

 Song 125

Hello everyone, welcome back! Today’s song is The Mortician’s Daughter, by Black Veil Brides! Starting with the intro, a slow romantic melody plays. This tune is played on an acoustic guitar, and it's just really nice. This time, I'm not gonna write out the lyrics in sections. Because it's a little hard with this one, I think I can make everything. But I'll just write out the lyrics as a whole, then analyze them. "I open my lungs dear, I sing this song at funerals, no rush. These lyrics heard a thousand times, just plush. Baby boy you've held so tightly, this pain it visits nightly. Missing hotel beds, I feel your touch. I will await dear, a patience of eternity, my crush. A universal still, no rust. No dust will ever grow on this frame, one million years, and I will say your name. I love you more than I could ever scream. We booked our flight those years ago, I said I love you, as I left you. Regrets still haunt my hollow head, but I promised you I will see you again, again. I sit here and smile dear, I smile because I think of you and I blush. These bleeding hollow dials, this fuss. A fuss is made of miles and travels, when roadways are but stones and gravel. A bleeding heart can conquer every crush, we booked our flight those years ago. You said you loved me, as you left me. Regrets still haunt your saddened head, but I promised you that I will see you. We booked our flight those years ago, I said I love you as I left you. Regret's no longer in my head, but I promised you and now. I'm home again, again, again. I'm home again, again, again. I'm home again." Okay, so first of all this song really tugs at my heartstrings. Especially since, things have been good with the person I'm in love with lately. I have all the feels with this one, the vocals are really smooth and light. That one lyric "I love you more than I could ever scream." I feel that with my person so much. It's a really good song, and I just love it yeah hehe :)

That's it for this review, see you in the next one :)

Song 124

 Song 124

Hello my fellow music nerds, welcome back to the blog. This review is dedicated to someone really special to me, someone I've been in love with since I met them. I just didn't know it at the time. This person means the world to me, and I love them so freaking much. They're the one who actually got me into this band, thank you R love you <3 Okay on with the review. Today I will be reviewing Girl's Not Grey by AFI! A really underrated band as well, I feel like they're not talked about enough. Starting with the intro, it's a beautiful combination of drums and guitar arranged in a way that makes you wanna head bang. The strumming pattern on this one is cool. The intro leads us into the first verse: "I'll lay me down tonight much further down, swim in the calm tonight this art does drown." I'm not gonna analyze this one, so I'll just be writing the lyrics out. Moving on to the chorus: "What follows me as the whitest lace of light, will swallow whole, just begs to be imbrued. What follows has led me to this place, where I belong with all erased. What follows." I just really love the melody on this one, it's very nice listening. The second verse: "All insects sing tonight the coldest sound, I'd send God's grace tonight, could it be found?" Not sure what this means, but I like it. At the end of the repeat of the chorus, I think this is where the bridge would be. "Watch the stars go out tonight on sinking ground. I'll lay me down, I'll lay me down." Only it's not in the place you think a bridge would be, I wouldn't even call this a full bridge. That's a cool layout, I love songs that have different layouts. There's not much of an outro, it just has this little strum. Then it ends. Which is fine, I like that.

Yeah, a really good song. Actually the whole album is pretty great too. Highly recommend you check it out. See you next time :)

song 123

 Song 123

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! :) I have a good one for you today, the song is Meanwhile by The Funeral Portrait. I have reviewed their songs before, but I feel like this one is different from the other ones I reviewed by them. So let's get into it. There's no intro, just screaming lyrics. First verse: "You'll never know, you'll never know the pain you caused. The ones you've left, to turn on the inside. When it's black as midnight on a moonless sky, the answers are hidden in plain sight. So when the room turns to red, we'll see those apparitions. No, they can't hurt you now!" I won't analyze this part, so I'll move on to the chorus: "Scare it out of me, the clarity. This isn't who I thought you'd be, I see your image in my dreams. Scare it out of me, the clarity. This isn't who I thought you'd be, I see your image in my dreams." I think I know what they're saying here, realizing that people aren't always who we think they are. I get that. Second verse: "Calmly walk towards me, writhing cold and restless. The letters underneath her nails, they scare the daylight out of me. Her pages read, jai un ame solitaire. She marked the death of virtue, paralyzed by. What has this small town come to? Haunting energy, will apparitions save you? Captivate me, when your hopes become your fears. Contradict me, eat your own God***** heart out." I love how they incorporated French into this song, it's always so cool when other languages are added to songs. The French part means "I have a lonely soul" Wow, that's deep. Then the second verse repeats, but with some added lyrics at the end of it. "Driving us to tears, and making fingers bleed with every fist we make." The song writing on this is incredible. The next part of the song, is something I like to call the pre-bridge. It's like a little verse before the bridge. "Do you cut off your nose, just to spite your face? Do you tear off your skin, just to spite your body? Do you gouge out your eyes, just to spite your face?" I love the edgy meaning behind this part, as well as the delivery on vocals in this section of the song. Now we have the bridge: "Steel yourself, a beautiful soul has left the earth. Washed up on the shore, and they couldn't help but. Wonder who she was, who she was." This part slows down, and is a nice almost haunting melody. I think the person they are talking about throughout this song, was struggling mentally and she unfortunately took her own life. There's another section of this song, that has some new lyrics thrown in. "Paralyzed by haunting energy." I like that. This line is also at the outro of the song, instead of instruments. I like that, you can hear the singer's voice clear at the end. It's a great way to end a masterpiece such as this.

That is it for this review, see you all in the next one! :)

song 122

 Song 122

Hello everybody, welcome back to the blog! Today I have a song called Misery by Creeper. It's been a long time since I reviewed a song of theirs but, I have one now so here we go. Starting off with the intro, I love how slow it starts out. It really sets the vibe, that this song is going to be emotional. Then we have the first verse: "Pretty, but he don't tell you about it. Winter scarves and skirts of velvet, still drink just like we did in school. I passed your old house, down by the cemetery. Club nights, in university. When your friends sing born to run baby, resist cause we were born to drift." Moving right along to the chorus: "If you could see the wreck I am these days, you'd have new reasons to stay away. Just hold my hand for a little while, misery never goes out of style." I love the song writing on this track, it's raw emotion at its finest. Second verse: "I see you sometimes in dreams I have, in your bra in the room you used to rent. Do you ever wish you could wake someone else? And so I wrote down a list of coroners, their names, their office phone numbers. To pronounce dead the thing we had, in tombs, ex-boyfriends bedrooms." I can feel the feelings with every word they say, the tone of the voice is everything. Mixed with the melody is really amazing. Then after the second verse, the chorus repeats again. Bringing us to the bridge: "I'm your chipped nail paint, I'm the fabric of your coat. You are all I fear, you are words I never wrote. (it repeats again with a slight key change) I'm your chipped nail paint, I'm the fabric of your coat. You are all I fear, you are words I never wrote. You are years ago." This guy in the band, is such a good singer. The chorus then repeats two more times, and the song ends. There's a little bit of an outro, with the instruments fading into the background. I love that, it slowly takes you out of the moment. Although I wish I could inject this song into my blood stream, so I can feel it forever.

Okay, that's it for this review. See you in the next one, happy listening.

song 121

 Song 121

Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog. Today I am reviewing a song called The Take Over, The Break's Over by Fall Out Boy! I really like this song, and wanted to share it. So here we go! So right off the bat, we have the intro. Which has this nice chopping sound, from I think the bass. As well as the drums. Bringing us into the first verse: "Baby, seasons change but people don't. And I'll always be waiting in the back room, I'm boring but overcompensate with. Headlines and flash, flash, flash photography. But don't pretend you ever forgot about me, don't pretend you ever forgot about me." I really like the melody on this, it's really fun. I'm not really sure what this song is about, but I like it. Moving on to the pre-chorus: "Wouldn't you rather be a widow than a divorcee? Style your wake for fashion magazines, widow or a divorcee? Don't pretend it, d-d-d-d-don't pretend." Yeah like I said, a bit of a confusing song. The second verse: "They say your head could be your prison, then these are just conjugal visits. People will dissect us till this doesn't mean a thing anymore." Now this part makes some sense to me, I feel like they're talking about the mind and how sad it can make us feel. Then we have the chorus: "We do it in the dark, with smiles on our faces. We're trapped and well concealed, in secret places, whoa. We do it in the dark, with smiles on our faces. We're trapped and well concealed, in secret places. We don't fight fair." I'm gonna leave this section up for interpretation, because I think I might know what they're talking about. But I don't wanna say it on here hehe :) There's also this really long note on this song, which Patrick pulls off flawlessly. I wish I had that much control with my voice. So yeah, a really great track. With a catchy beat, and a somewhat confusing storyline. hehe:)

Until next time, happy listening :)

song 120

 Song 120

Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog! Today I have a a fabulous song, called Vicious Love by New Found Glory featuring Hayley Williams from Paramore! This song came out in 2014, I was in grade 6 when this song came out which is crazy to me. Anyway, let's get into it! The intro is just a simple beat, nothing that interesting about it. But it still brings us into the first verse: "Couples on their backs in the park, lay on blankets bought. On a date the day before, a routine I've been longing for. Can't help but to glance, from the corner of my resentful eyes. Guess it's all perspective but, it's you I never get enough. We're always far apart." Next is the chorus: "We've got a vicious love, we mix our tears with blood. No clock will stop for us, it ticks by. We fight as hard as we love, we've got a vicious love." I find this concept interesting, like I wonder what exactly they mean by this. Maybe they're saying that the relationship is up and down, or maybe not very healthy. I don't know for sure. Next is the second verse, and this is where Hayley comes in. "When I go out alone, and see them sharing meals. Like lady and the tramp, hate their loving eyes. Wishing it was you and I, add tip to my receipt. Fold it up behind a picture of us, guess it's all perspective but. Together though we rarely touch, hard not to fall apart." This part here, makes me think that they don't do much together. Which is sad. Next is the bridge: "I could have given up a thousand times, in the past that was so easy. When the thought came to my mind, there was no convincing me. Plant my feet to face it all, side by side or a phone call. Living in tension with you, still feels better. Better than I've ever known." Now they are happy with how things are? I'm confused by this part, but if it works for them. I just really like the melody on this, and the vocals are amazing! Hayley sounds really good mixed with the guy's voice. (I don't know his name) I found this song on a whim the other day, and it was a happy accident.

I hope you check out this song, and see the video for it as well, I thought it was pretty cool. Until next time Happy listening :)
