song 43

 Song 43

Hello! Happy Halloween everyone! Today's song is Besitos by Pierce the Veil! I love this song, it's so freaking cool! Just from the opening notes, which is a sick riff on the guitar. Then it jumps right into "you're my favourite explosion!" Sooooo cool! I really love the instrumentals on this track, including the guitar solo in between the bridge and last chorus. Also this part right here "You know I've never held a gun in my life, but now I carry one around in case I see you tonight." For some reason it just scratches an itch in my brain, and I love it. I feel like this song is about someone who went missing, and was unfortunately found dead. But now the killer is still out there, at least that's how I interpret this song, it might not be about that, it's just an observation. Plus this line is it "a diamond bullet, and a gun made of gold, she was covered in blood last seen in San Francisco." Which makes me believe that this poor girl was shot. Aside from that, the vocals on this track are insane! The screaming, and the passion on the "crying, crying, crying." Part in this song, was so powerful. I felt that right in my soul, so yeah this track is insanely good. I highly recommend checking this out, you will not regret it!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween, and remember be kind, take care of yourselves, and it's ok to ask for help. Until next time :)

Song 42

 Song 42

Hello music lovers, I'm gonna be honest with you. I've been very discouraged about my blog, I have felt like nobody cares about the music I like. I have thought about not writing a song review ever again, and forget about this blog. But I'm not just writing this for me anymore, there's someone really freaking amazing who has told me not to give up on this. So I'm not only writing these reviews for me, I'm writing it for them as well. (my love you have no idea how much I appreciate you supporting me with this, I promise I'm not gonna give up on this. love you) Since I'm here now, I will be writing a review for the song Spinning by With Confidence. The first time I heard this, I thought it was so beautiful! And I still do, the lyrics especially hit me in the feels. "I wanna be the one to keep you warm at night, think you're my reason for believing things will be alright. I wanna come out and say it to ya, all while the world is spinning round, round, round." This part specifically made me think about all the times when I felt really down, and sometimes when this happens I feel like everything is falling apart, but then he tells me everything will be ok. Then I just know things won't be bad forever. "and anything you wanna do, I wanna do it next to you." That is one hundred percent true, I wanna do everything with my person. This kind of turned into a "my boyfriend is the best" piece, but I can't help it, so many songs either remind me of us together, or of him. I love when songs do that, because then it makes me love them more. This song just has a nice rhythm to it, as well as a melody equally as nice. Also a pretty easy song to sing along with, and I love to sing which works out perfectly. Well I think that's it, for this song. I really am glad I decided not to give up on this, and to everyone who does enjoy reading these thank you so much! And I hope I have convinced a lot of you to check out some interesting, new, cool, and sometimes heartfelt music. Until the next review, take care of yourselves, and be kind. :)

Album edition 4

 Album Edition 4

I haven’t done a album review in awhile! So let’s go, oh first off Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! Hope it’s a good one! Ok on with the album, I will be reviewing What It Means To Fall Apart by Mayday Parade! (Ok I know I’m obsessed with this band just go with it lol)

Track 1 is called Kids of Summer. This is the opening track, I think it's really good. The guitar is present right at the start, and I love the melody. This song is about remembering summers when you were young and care free, and all those summer loves. "Those days are long gone, but we can all pretend our love was s strong. Let's do it all again, and make new scars we'll fly into the night like shooting stars." Just a really good opening track, and it sets you up for what the story of this album could be about. (I don't necessarily think it's a concept album, but I think there is some sort of story here)

Track 2 is Golden Days. This track is really fun, and it has a great beat. "cause I have gotten pretty used to the dark." This is the ending lyrics on the chorus, and I felt this on an emotional level. I feel like I have also gotten used to the dark, meaning I've gotten used to things not working out, and people leaving. Good music makes you think, and if you can relate to it that's a huge bonus. I like the instrumentals on this one, they blend really well together. This band just has an amazing sound to them, and I love their voices. The point of this song is not only about feeling used to darkness though, it's also about looking forward. Not letting the bad things win, or get in the way of what's important to you. I think that may be why they called this one Golden days, because gold is shiny, just like a brighter day.

Track 3 is called Think of You. Now this one is probably one of my favourites on this album, because it deffinately makes me think about my special someone. Especially when I miss them, this song makes me feel closer to him. "No matter where you go, you'll never be alone, please know that everyday I think of you. No matter where you are, we'll never be apart, just know that everyday I think of you." Those words are so true, because my person and I are really far from each other. But everytime I think about them, he feels closer. This track I think is mostly done on the guitar, probably an acoustic one. It's an upbeat type of melody, just very comforting, and soft.

Track 4 is called If My Ghosts Don't Play, I Don't Play. This song is a bit edgier, in terms of the change in the instruments, and the vocals also have more passion. The lyrics are still pretty feel good ones though. "Just take my hand, and we will march as one, and we don't need a reason. No longer in the shadows, we will never walk alone." Still has that no matter what vibe to it, only different because of the change in melody. I guess the message in this one is that someone will always be there for you, and you don't have to face anything alone.

Track 5 is called Sideways. I am obsessed with this song! It's just so good, and I love stimming to it. I can't really explain how much I love this track, I just know it's freaking amazing! "You say you've got dreams, well what about me, what about me. It was the chemicals, chemicals, in love it's only chemical, chemical turning me sideways." I love it so much, the melody, the lyrics, the instruments, the vocals it's all so good! Also infectious, it gets stuck in your head, in the best way possible. When I become obsessed with a song, I tend to listen to it repeatedly! I hope I sing this eventually, because it would be a great challenge for my voice. There's a mix of high and low notes, so I can work on my range.

Track 6 is called One for the Rocks, and one for the Scary. This song slows right down again, honestly it's so soothing. "we can do anything you wanna do, we can so everything. We'll start right here in this room." So sweet :) I guess this song is about being with you're person, and not letting go. That's my interpretation of this song, I'm sure it means something different to some one else. It almost sounds like whoever this song is about, was the one that got away, and now they don't want this new love to leave. Which I can totally understand. Really cool song, and beautiful as well.

Track 7 is called Bad at Love. This one is pretty self explanatory, it's about someone who isn't great at love. The person left, and now the other person feels like it's their fault. To me it sounds like the relationship wasn't the greatest, hence why it's probably called bad at love. But the person isn't completely over the person who was bad at love, and still thinks about them. As far as melody goes, I like it starts off strong and does this drop thing through out. "you're bad at love, bad at love, seems as if you can't get enough. You know you're bad at love, bad at love, go on and tear me down in such a beautiful way." Still thinks the person is beautiful even though they weren't the best partner. That's I'm taking from this anyway.

Track 8 is called Notice. "And I could tell you everything that's ever happened to me, and every reason I don't care, But I'd still see you waiting there." This song is cool, is it my favourite on this album? no but I still like it. "I wrote a song for you and then it came to life, I was hoping you would notice. and I had a feeling that I'll sing for you tonight, we're broken and we know it." This song is a heart breaking isn't it? I mean he wrote a song for someone and wanted to sing it for them, but he knows that they're not together anymore. :( so sad. The point of this one, is I don't think there's any point except that they broke up.

Track 9 is called Heaven. A very slow paced song, but still has drums hitting at the right points. and a sound that I think was made with a synth, because it doesn't sound like any instrument except maybe a keyboard, or theramin. But I don't think it's a theramin. "Oh it feels like heaven, the way you put me through hell." That to me kind of sounds like a masochist thing, because it was like so good how badly you treated me. Or something along those lines. This is a song that only has a few a lyrics and they are repeated through the song, almost like a filler track before the album wraps up. Still worth mentioning though because it has a unique sound, and I like the tone of it.

Track 10 is called Angels Die Too. I love the lyrics of this one. "I promise I'll try to hold you as you fall apart, cause even angels die too, they die in the dark. Know that I'll always love you, even when it's hard to, and you'll always live inside of me." *sigh* so romantic! I'm a sucker for lyrics like this, and songs with this theme. This song is done on the piano, I love that. I feel like having that instrument on a song like this makes it more intimate, and special. Despite what happened the he still loves the person that left, and that is so beautifully tragic.

Track 11 is called You Not Me. By now I think we can tell that this album is about some sort of break up that happened, as well as remembering better times. Also still being attached to someone who is long gone, this song kind of represents that fact. Because he now wants to move on. "How do I make you leave, baby I swear it's you not me." Now I think it's clear who broke up with who here, now he wants to put this behind him and forget about the person. As for the melody, is really nice easy to listen to. Great use of the instruments available and the vocals were on point.

Track 12, we are at the end! The song is called I Can't Do This Anymore. This wraps up the whole story, and the album. This song is about not being able to handle everything anymore, and feeling alone. But now that he knows he can't do it anymore, that can give him the peace he needs to let them go. "inside it almost feels like I've been here once before, and I can't do this anymore." I think it's a great way to wrap up an album with this big emotional track, where they put everything they have into this one song, keeping the listener hooked right up until the end.

Well that's it, that is my review for What It Means To Fall Apart by Mayday Parade! I hope you enjoy going through all these songs, if I have convinced you to check it out. Which I hope I have, have a great week everybody. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay strong. :)
